Indego Africa is a non-profit organization that supports women artisans in Rwanda and Ghana through economic empowerment and education.
Economic inclusivity is at the heart of our mission. We focus on the growth of community based, women-owned artisan businesses. Known to play an important role in generating employment and reducing intergenerational poverty, they also play an important part in preserving the rich cultural traditions and diverse artisan skills abundant in Africa.
By training more women to enter the artisan sector - providing them with the access, education and resources to become successful entrepreneurs - we're opening the door for generations of Rwanda, Ghanian, and refugee women to build and sustain a financially independent future.
