"I still dream of going to school, but my parents ask me to drop out of school to earn money." Every year in Laos, thousands of girls need to quit school to earn money. They are prone to becoming victims of forced prostitution, as young as 11 years old. We AAT aims at combating this exploitative cycle by prioritizing the access to education - we support them education expenses, offer them life skills training and career alternatives. We help them live out a life where they are no longer abused.

Since 2014, AAT has started actions in Shan State, northeastern Myanmar. Due to years of ongoing civil wars, many NGOs have left the country and little global attention is paid. However, with a strong network with local temples and resilient volunteers, we AAT are still offering constant protection and reintegration to women and girls who were displaced, trafficked, and ended up in sexual exploitation. Please help us stay in Shan State to make more life-saving differences.

This project will reach 150 girls annually in Thailand at risk of or involved in prostitution, providing them with health services, counseling, and career alternatives to address urgent needs and offer pathways out of exploitation. Former victims will be empowered as peer mentors, fostering trust and expanding outreach in their hidden networks. Through education, vocational training and advocacy, the program will tackle the issue of prostitution and help these girls break free from exploitation.
