DU conserves, restores, and manages wetlands and associated habitats for North America’s waterfowl, other wildlife, and people. Wetlands help meet the lifecycle needs of 900+ wildlife species, including many threatened or endangered ones. Our projects support clean water, climate change mitigation, public recreation, and countless other outcomes. People depend on the same ecosystems as waterfowl. Thus, DU provides wetland-based solutions for people through a three-pronged strategy of on-the-ground delivery guided by science and supported by advocacy of wetland-friendly public policies.
