Growing climate change has made it more difficult for women in Nepal, increasing the burden of daily activities such as collecting fuel and water, as well as increasing their exposure to natural disasters. Rural women are especially vulnerable due to existing gender inequality and their direct dependence on agriculture, farming, and forests for their livelihood, as well as their lack of access to resources and finance during times of crisis.

The primary focus of this project lies on supporting education, where school girls, aged 5 to 8 and mostly underprivileged, will be provided with essential educational materials and uniforms. Mental health remains a stigmatized and neglected area in many parts of Nepal. Recognizing this gap, WWF has implemented comprehensive mental health advocacy and support programs. Through these initiatives, we have reached over 1,000 women and girls across various rural communities, providing them with vital resources, counseling, and educational workshops. Even though mental health issues are among Nepal's most pressing issues, this sector currently receives relatively little to no funding.
