Maryvale is a longstanding youth mental health treatment centre founded in 1929. Maryvale primarily serves adolescents aged 12-17 and our mission is to "empower youth through comprehensive programs, foster community engagement and provide unparalleled services and resources".
Maryvale has 3 main pillars of service:
1. Day Treatment School Program - offering onsite classes that help high school students achieve therapeutic and academic goals.
2. Acute Mental Health Care Hospital Program - offering onsite stabilization for youth experiencing psychiatric crisis.
3. Outpatient Counselling - offering therapy sessions to both onsite clients and community referrals.
Maryvale has expanded into a 'Campus of Care' model aimed to create a hub of social services for youth and families. 5 other non-profit organizations have taken residence within the Maryvale campus to deliver programs and services.
Centralizing social service providers will reduce geographical barriers to access programs, ease service navigation, and allow for coordinated services amongst clients.
