The mission of SARSEF is to create Arizona's next generation of scientists and engineers that are our world's future workforce.SARSEF began in 1955. Now SARSEF reaches 90,887 K-12 students in Arizona, providing free STEM Outreach to underrepresented students in areas of poverty and rural communities. SARSEF's year-round STEM outreach to Arizona's K-12 students develops skills in critical thinking and problem-solving with a particular focus on underrepresented minorities and females in Title I schools in areas of poverty or rural communities. When students learn to think critically and solve problems at an early age, they form habits that will lead to their success in school not only short-term but in the future, as they enter the workforce.
