The Society encourages the residents of Murphy to preserve history of our community for future generations. We educate the public about our history through the collection and preservation of old photographs, oral history interviews, primary source documents, and exhibits of historical memorabilia. We support the preservation of historic properties in Murphy, including maintenance of our local cemeteries, and apply for historical markers around our community.
We are always accepting new members, volunteers, and donations to assist with preserving and documenting our local history and maintaining our historic cemeteries.
