NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF DIACONATE DIRECTORS (NADD)

Mission Statement: "The National Association of Diaconate Directors exists to support diaconate directors, associate directors and their staffs with their mission to enable deacons, candidates, aspirants, their wives and families to utilize their gifts in the service of the Church following the model of Jesus Christ." Geographic area served: NADD serves member Roman Catholic dioceses throughout the United States. We currently have over 300 members representing 168 dioceses. NADD fulfills its mission through working with deacon formation directors, directors of ministry and life, and other diocesan personnel who are responsible to their ordinaries for the formation of candidates leading toward ordination as permanent deacons, and for the continuing professional development and education of deacons following ordination. NADD takes a leadership role relating to national and regional issues of the diaconate and serves as a consultant to the USCCB Secretariat for Clergy, Consecrated Life and Vocations (CCLV). NADD is a 501(c)(3) non-profit covered the the USCCB Group Ruling as listed on page A-53 of the current issue of The Official Catholic Directory.
