To support the fight against cancer and cancer research, particularly in relation to brain tumours, through collaboration with research centres, hospitals and other research organisations;
To support children and young people from low-income families in developing their sporting careers in golf;
To promote and develop sport in general, and golf in particular, as a means of encouraging the values associated with sporting activity that the founder embodied, such as humility, hard work, perseverance, a spirit of sacrifice, the desire to improve, inclusion, tolerance and respect;
To preserve and enhance the reputation, good name and legacy of the founder's sporting career.
