American Friends of the Israel Museum

The American Friends of the Israel Museum (AFIM) is a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting The Israel Museum, Jerusalem. Since its inception in 1972, AFIM has raised over $435 million for the Museum’s exhibitions, art acquisitions, educational and outreach programs, curator training, and more. As an early supporter of the Museum, AFIM’s pioneering model has spurred the creation of similar organizations in 16 countries. Beyond financial support, AFIM inspires collectors and raises awareness of the Museum with special exhibitions, gallery visits, studio tours, concerts, gatherings, and other events. Through these efforts, AFIM has helped create a global network of individuals committed to supporting Jerusalem’s Israel Museum.
