Illinois Shorthair Rescue is a non-profit breed rescue group serving Illinois, Indiana, and Michigan. Our mission is to help German Shorthaired Pointers in need; place them in responsible, loving homes; and educate the public about the breed. We save GSPs from animal control facilities, humane societies, and neglect, cruelty, or owner give-up situations. Our rescued dogs get loving care and needed medical attention. They are fostered in private homes and live indoors as family companions while they wait for their forever homes.
