Since 2007, West Place Animal Sanctuary has provided lifelong care, love, and a permanent home to farm animals rescued from abuse, neglect, and cruelty cases. West Place is a licensed wildlife rehabilitation center that assists injured and orphaned animals, and releases healthy wildlife back into their natural habitats. West Place also serves as the lost dog shelter for Little Compton. This combination of services makes West Place the only organization of its kind in the region. A network of 125+ volunteers provides essential animal care 365 days per year. Students participate in hands-on experiential learning opportunities through our Educational Internship Programs, the cornerstone of our Humane Education Workforce Program that cultivates a more compassionate community.
