VEIC was founded in 1986 as a nonprofit driven by a clear mission: to reduce the economic and environmental costs of energy use. Today, we are leading the way to an equitable clean energy future, with expertise in energy efficiency, building decarbonization, transportation electrification, and demand management for a clean and flexible grid. We are nationally recognized for programs and pilots that optimize energy use, reduce energy burdens for low-income customers, and advance emerging technologies and innovative program models. Our work drives forward our vision: Healthy Planet, Thriving People.In addition to our consulting service, VEIC administers three large-scale sustainable energy programs: Efficiency Vermont, Efficiency Smart, and the DC Sustainable Energy Utility (DCSEU).
