Fund Description
Using basketball as a force for good to renovate public courts, unify and strengthen communities, and bridge opportunity gaps. The Hoops for Good Community Fund will support the following organizations:

Project Backboard: Project Backboard’s mission is to renovate public basketball courts and install large scale works of art on court surfaces in order to strengthen communities, improve park safety, encourage multi-generational play, and inspire people to think more critically and creatively about their environment. Check out a great example of one of their court refurbishment projects.

PeacePlayers: PeacePlayers uses basketball as an innovative tool to unite a critical mass of diverse youth leaders around the globe. These PeacePlayers work together to dismantle structures of conflict and inequity in their societies and beyond. Check out their hype reel.

Shooting Touch: Based in Boston, Shooting Touch’s mission is to use the mobilizing power of basketball as a tool for health education, intervention, and improved well-being for individuals, families, and communities. Shooting Touch provides opportunity and insight necessary to challenge the existing socioeconomic inequalities while establishing trust and belonging amongst those involved.

New Heights Youth: Based in Brooklyn, New Height’s mission is to educate and empower promising underserved youth to be leaders, champions, and student-athletes by developing the skills necessary for success in high school, college, and life.
