In 2026, the yellow brick road is paved with legal retainers. We provide the "Friend of Dorothy" network for LGBTQ+ asylum seekers stuck in the system. No one is coming to save us, so we’re building our own shield.

At this time, the recipients in which this fund will funnel your donations. These orgs will be chosen by members with a monthly vote:

Immigration Equality: They lead the direct legal representation for LGBTQ+ and HIV+ asylum seekers.

Transgender Law Center. They have The Black LGBTQIA+ Migrant Project (BLMP): They provide essential mutual aid and survival support specifically for Black queer migrants.

UnLocal’s Queer Immigrant Justice Project (QIJP): Based in New York, they provide holistic legal services, including name and gender marker changes for asylum seekers.

Lambda Legal: They sue the government to stop discriminatory policies. If ICE is mistreating transgender detainees or denying HIV medication (a major issue in 2026), Lambda Legal is usually the group filing the emergency lawsuit.
